Mocha VNC App Reviews

Works just fine for me with OS X 10.8.x. This app is fantastic - it allows me to quickly log on to my home Mac when I need to access something, run an application, etc. Very simple and its been rock-solid for me. One thing Id like to see is an option to choose just one display in a multi-monitor setup.

Great app. Timely support from dev. New version a bit ugly, but improved wireless keyboard support more than makes up for this.

IMHO most user-friendly VNC app, esp. with the ability to login with Mac credential after connected to VNC server. However, please update your app icon. its pretty out of date now that we are on Yosemite! Update the icon to a beautiful one and it will be 5/5 stars

Been using this for years and its worked better then the competition. It has everything that I have needed to use Mac and Windows server. Unlike some others, it works with the dock on a multi screen Mac

Unfortunately it cannot connect to an encrypted VNC sever. Free version RealVNC app works better than this.

すごいですね。実用になりそうです。 一応簡単に接続法を。 ●Mac側の設定 「システム環境設定」から「共有」を選択 「共有」画面で「画面共有」をチェック入りに ※このとき翠のボタンのすぐしたに「vnc://○○○.〜」と数字が出てくるので、この数字（999.999.999.999といった感じで）をメモしておきます。 「コンピュータ設定」をクリック 「VNC使用者が〜」をチェック入りに 「パスワード」を設定 ●iPhone側の設定 「Connection」画面で 「VNC Server IP address」に先ほどの数字を入力 「VNC Server Port」に「5900」（すでに入っているはず） 「VNC Password」に先ほど設定したパスワードを入力 以下の設定はすべて「ON」に ※これで「Connect」ボタンを押すと、デスクトップが表示されます。Warningが出るけれど「OK」を。 ※指先がマウス代わり。クリックはタッチ、画面下のマウスアイコンをクリックすると右ボタンクリックに。

option keyが使えれば更に便利ツールになりますね。出来ればshiftも。 とはいえ、７００円はお買い得です。

初期バージョンは非常に快適に利用できていましたが、 現行の2.2ではリモート接続時に画面上部のメニューバーが見える程度までしか画面表示されなくなり、 ほぼ利用不可に。 iPhone再起動、アプリの再インストール、iPhoneの復元を試すが改善無し。 他のアプリiSSHでは問題なくリモート接続でき画面も表示される為、Mocha VNC側の問題かと思われます。 気に入っていただけに残念です。 2009/8/31 追記 開発元に問い合わせたら、以下の様な回答が返ってきました。 Apple has changed the remote desktop protocol, in the latest Mac OS X update. (apple remote desktop 3.3.1). This make VNC to display only 50 pixels at the top of the screen. Mocha VNC 2.3 (send to Apple for testing 21 August) solves this problem, and is in review at Apple the moment. A release at App Store is expected before 4 September. との事です。

This software includes the user interface that is not refined very much, and the speed of the decode is slow. I think prices less than half are proper.

The keyboard is badly designed. There is a triangle in the corner to show additional keys, which are not independent from the menu and the main keyboard for instance if you activate only the additional keys than to open normal keyboard for some input you have to close key-bar, open menu and open keyboard and then key-bar on the top of the keyboard re-appears which is ok but to close only the main keyboard again you have to repeat the whole procedure in reverse order. Also author didnt think much about usability of a mouse. It is nearly impossible to do right click in the mode where screen dragging is locked. And whendragging is unlocked then the only practical use of the mouse is the right click. There are some bugs, for instance if you return into app the lock shows that you have the screen dragging disabled but it is not true, you have to disable and re-enable the lock. I would have rated the app a bit higher but I am dissapointed because the lite version lacks the full keyboard and mouse support so the customer have no chance to encounter the biggest flaws of the full version before purchase

Works almost perfect. Would be the best if not nasty crashes. Hope it will be fixed

Please add Russian keyboard support. IMHO This app is useless without it.

I tested it with ultravnc under win 7. Not the best, but it works. Mouse simulation is simple horrible. Please consider a smart way for using mouse keys combinations, because for the moment right key apart, all others are only a mirage. Please fix in future releases.

If you have a US keyboard its fine, if not... Its unusable. Shame!

Shouldnt sell on Italian iOS App Store as it doesnt support the Mac Italian keyboard driver.

Works great with a mac running el capitan. Several versions ago there were issues connecting to yosemite, but those issues are long gone. I am very pleased with this app.

Awesome app for controlling my Mac computers. Works perfectly.

Functionality wise this new version has more features and can easily send more commands. However even running on iPad2, I find it sluggish. Especially the program itself. Although I am connecting to an 27" iMac.
